The Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh conducts this entrance test for admission to polytechnic diploma courses in the state. The exam is open to class ten and twelve students. The syllabus depends on the course group, with Group A being the most popular. Group A tests Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry of matriculation level.
