The Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry in West Bengal is conducted for direct admission to the second year of engineering degree courses. Diploma holders in engineering and B.Sc. graduates are eligible. The exam tests Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and basic Electrical and Computer engineering concepts. Candidates need a strong grasp of diploma-level mathematics and physics formulas to clear the cut-offs. Preparing for JELET takes six months of regular practice.
